I have worked with Wm Mailer & Sons for over 40 years and had no hesitation in advising my son, Alexander, to accept their competitive tender for the internal restoration and conversion he was undertaking of "Buchan House", a listed historic property on the western approach to the City of Perth.
The nature of the Contract required skilled and careful workmanship preserving listed features and yet compliance with rigorous fire regulations, which Messrs Mailer and their sub-Contractors achieved not only to our satisfaction but also that of Perth & Kinross Heritage Trust.
Weekly site meetings with senior members of staff and Site Foreman ensured smooth progress of the Contract and when difficulties arose constructive solutions were readily forthcoming; their interim accounts were clear and readily reconcilable with their Quotation.
In conclusion, we are pleased to express complete satisfaction with the execution of this substantial Contract and would have no hesitation in using Wm Mailer & Sons on future work.

We embarked upon a large project to build a 14,000 sqft house. The architect had designed bespoke solid oak doors, flush mounted skirting boards and door frames. We had solid oak staircase and built-in wardrobes etc. All finishing joinery was to be in solid oak.
Mailer and Sons were recommended to us and carried out the work to a high craftsman finish, by tradesmen who had great respect for their customer.. The work was always completed within the given time frame, and within the quoted cost.
It has been a pleasure working with a Company who still adhere to traditional values.
We have since used Mailer and Sons to design and build a solid Oak desk and fitted Library, the carpentary is outstanding.

We have used William Mailers for over 10 years for various jobs and wouldn't go anywhere else. To date they have installed 2 brand new kitchens in 2 separate properties, built en suites where there was originally no water supply, and are currently upgrading my hallway with a workshop built gothic window and flooring.
They also rebuilt a friend's house when it was razed to the ground in a fire. We were so impressed with Wm Mailers we also bought a converted cottage from them.

Local solutions quickly found and executed – A constant flow of good practical ideas made the project fun and the result was much bigger and better than any of us had at first anticipated. Billing was always prompt and up to date – we worked through options and estimates together as a trusted partnership.
